Overview
Teluk Intan (formerly Telok Anson) is the third-largest town in Perak state, centered around an oxbow meander of the Perak River. The town is famous for its Leaning Tower (Menara Condong), built in 1885 as a water tower and navigation beacon.

Culture
Chitra Pournami Festival in April/May is the biggest annual event — similar to Thaipusam with Hindu traditions and street closures.
Food
Heong Peah biscuits are the top souvenir. Ais Kacang at Lo Hon Ko stall on Jalan Sekolah is legendary. Ask for less sugar when ordering Hainan Coffee.
Transport
Buses are the only public transport option. From Ipoh, buses run hourly 7AM-7PM (RM5.85). From Kuala Lumpur, hourly 9AM-10PM (RM14.20). Taxis are expensive.
