Overview
Telšiai is the chief city of Samogitia region with about 22,000 residents in 2023. While industrial (home to the Orlen oil refinery and food/furniture/metal industries), the Old Town has survived relatively intact.

Visit Telsiai Tourist Information Centre is at Turgaus Aikštė 21, open M-F 08:00-17:00, Sa 10:00-15:00.
Transport
Bus station is 500 m west of town centre; railway station is 1 km north. Five buses daily from Kaunas (3 hr 40 min). Three trains daily from Vilnius (3 hr 15 min).
