Fresh seafood is abundant—flounder, pipis, cockles, crayfish, scallops, and snapper are locally caught. Four Square supermarket on Main Rd is open daily 7AM-6PM.
Transport
Tairua is best explored on foot in the town center, but a car is recommended for accessing surrounding attractions like Ocean Beach and Coromandel Forest Park.
