Overview
Table Mountain National Park protects one of Earth's most biodiverse regions, the Cape Floristic Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park stretches from iconic Table Mountain above Cape Town south to Cape Point, the most southwestern tip of Africa.

Accommodation
SANParks cottages inside the park (R480-R1900/night) must be booked in advance. Most visitors stay in Cape Town.
Fees
Most park areas are free. Paid attractions: Table Mountain cable car (R255 return adults), Cape of Good Hope (R135), Boulders (R70). Children half-price at most sites.
Safety
Baboons at Cape Point will aggressively steal food and belongings. Keep windows up in parked cars. Strong currents make ocean swimming hazardous.
Transport
Vehicle essential for park access. Cape Point funicular railway costs R35 return. Table Mountain cable car operates 8:30AM to late afternoon.
Weather
Mediterranean climate: warm dry summers (26°C average in January), mild wet winters (17°C July). Rain falls mainly April-September, mostly on the mountain.
