Hotels are small but comfortable. Book ahead in peak summer season (June-September) as Syvota is a popular resort destination.

The Blue Lagoon is the standout attraction with remarkably clear blue water. Bring a towel as the beach is gravel rather than sand.

Traditional Greek tavernas are found along the harbour front. Bamboo Place is a known option for local cuisine.
Transport
Syvota is walkable but boat taxi and boat hire are essential for reaching offshore islands and beaches. Car is recommended for exploring beyond the town.
