Overview
Šumava (Bohemian Forest) is the largest protected forest area in Central Europe, spanning three countries: Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. The national park protects pristine wilderness with deep forests, peat bogs (slať), and rare wildlife including lynx and eagles.
