Overview
Steyr marks its 1,000th anniversary, having undergone extensive restoration that made its historic architecture among the best preserved in Austria. The famous Bummerlhaus, a Gothic landmark dating to the 13th century, anchors the Stadtplatz (town square) and is considered one of Central Europe's finest examples of secular Gothic architecture for its size.
