Overview

Simo is a small summer destination in southwest Finnish Lapland with about 3,000 residents. Most visitors come for fishing wild salmon in the Simo River, which maintains an original wild salmon population.

Fishing requires Finnish national permit plus Simojoki permit. Canoeing route is 178 km, 4-7 days. Jäger Path is 16 km.
