Overview
Sibsagar is a compact Ahom heritage destination whose 18th-century temples, palace ruins, and tanks form one of Assam's most coherent historical ensembles. The 2024 UNESCO inscription of Charaideo Maidams (Ahom royal burial mounds) 30 km east gives the area international significance.
