Overview
Seropédica is a small municipality in Baixada Fluminense primarily known as a transit point along the BR-116 highway (Via Dutra) connecting Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The town is notable for hosting the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), whose neocolonial campus with gardens, artificial lakes, and palm trees offers a pleasant green space.
