Overview
Seddon is a small Marlborough town near the mouth of the Awatere River, notable for its transition from sheep farming to vineyards. The town is named after Richard John Seddon, Premier of New Zealand from 1893 to 1906.

Cosy Corner Cafe and Bar is the only food and drink option in town, famous for homemade pies and open 24/7 during grape harvest (Mar–Apr).
Money
As a small rural town, card acceptance may be limited outside the cafe. Carry cash for the motor camp and small purchases.
Transport
Seddon lies on State Highway 1 between Blenheim (north) and Kaikoura (south). The Coastal Pacific train runs between Christchurch and Picton, but does not stop in Seddon.
