Schull is a small harbour town at the foot of Ireland's most southwesterly peninsula, Mizen Head. With a population of just 669 (2022), it retains a working fishing port feel while catering to tourists with sailing, watersports, and walking trails.

Bunratty Inn and Nico's are reliable Main Street options. Sunday market April-September offers local produce. Crookhaven has pubs and accommodation but limited food options.

Transport
Bus Eireann 237 runs daily from Cork to Schull (2hr 15min). Local Link Tuesday/Friday to Bantry requires advance booking on +353 27 52727. No local taxi service; cabs must come from Skibbereen.
Weather
Best visited May-September for watersports and walking. April-September for full availability of sailing lessons, boat trips, and watersport rentals. Some seasonal businesses close outside these months.
