Overview

Sattahip is a small fishing town on Thailand's Eastern Gulf Coast, twice as large as Banglamung district (where Pattaya sits) but with a much smaller population. Domestic tourists come to pay homage at Wat Luang Pho I, while the availability of land has led to construction of many large-scale tourist attractions—often marketed as 'Pattaya attractions' to visitors from the nearby resort city.
