Overview
São Jorge is the primary gateway to Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its dramatic canyons, waterfalls, and ancient rock formations. The village itself charms visitors with the raw art brut murals of autodidact artist Moacir Faria, depicting sacred and profane figures throughout town.
