Overview
San Cipriano is a tiny Afro-Colombian town of 500 inhabitants in the humid subtropical forest of Valle del Cauca. The main draw is the unique brujita (motorbike-powered railcar) ride along disused train tracks through lush rainforest, plus cold river swims, cascading natural pools at refugio del amor, and a genuinely tranquil, off-the-beaten-path atmosphere that contrasts sharply with nearby Pacific coast tourist spots.
