Overview
Ruijin is known as the "Cradle of the People's Republic of China" and the "Red Capital"—it served as the capital of the Chinese Soviet Republic from 1931 and is where the legendary Long March began in 1937. The city preserves extensive revolutionary heritage sites where visitors can explore former residences of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De, as well as original government buildings and memorial museums.

Ruijin Railway Station connects to Nanchang, Ganzhou, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, and Xiamen via high-speed rail. Ganzhou Ruijin Airport serves flights from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Nanchang.
Weather
Ruijin has humid subtropical weather with rainfall concentrated April-June. Autumn (September-November) offers the most comfortable conditions for sightseeing.
