Overview
Rømø is a small Danish island in the Wadden Sea National Park known for its spectacular nature and enormous beaches. The island has the largest sand beach in Northern Europe, which stretches up to 2.5 km wide during low tide.

Generally very safe. Watch the tide at beaches. No open fires allowed. Military exercises at Juvre Sand with signal ball warning.
Transport
Access via 9-km causeway from mainland or Syltfærge ferry from Havneby to Sylt. Bicycle rental is the best way to explore.

Best visited May-September for warm weather. Beach can be 2.5 km wide at low tide.
