Connectivity
Puerto Lempira has limited infrastructure. Electricity in some hotels runs only a few hours via generator. Expect minimal connectivity.
Language
Miskito language widely spoken alongside Spanish. Some English may be encountered in tourist-facing establishments.
Safety
No potable water in the park. Bring 2+ liters per person daily, plus long pants, heavy boots, hat, and sunglasses for jungle and sun protection.
Transport
Access via Puerto Lempira's small regional airport (GL26) or by boat. Flights operate sporadically—book direct with carriers CM Airlines, Aerocaribe, or Lanhsa.
