Overview
Ribeirão Preto is a prosperous university and agrobusiness city in North São Paulo, nicknamed "The Capital of Agrobusiness." Founded in 1856 by coffee farmers, it grew rich during the 1880s coffee boom when it became the world's largest coffee producer.
