Cash is essential for temples, auto-rickshaws, and small restaurants. ATMs available near the temple area. Temple donations and guides expect cash payment in Indian Rupees.
Transport
Auto-rickshaws are the main local transport. Buses to Dhanushkodi (₹30) run from near temple east gate. Train station is within walking distance of temple area.
Weather
Coastal heat can be intense; bring sun protection year-round. Early morning temple visits (4-5 AM) offer cooler temperatures and shorter queues.
