Getting In

The nearest airport is Calicut International Airport (CCJ), 33 km away. Railway access is via Thirunavaya station (7 km) or Tirur station (13 km). The town sits on National Highway 66 between Kottakkal and Valanchery. Long-distance buses run from Thrissur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, and Coimbatore.

The town is walkable, with NH66 running through the center. Auto-rickshaws and local buses serve connections to nearby villages. For waterfalls and surrounding attractions, local transport or a short walk is sufficient.

Visit between October and March for the best weather. The monsoon season (June-September) can make travel difficult. Ayyappanov waterfalls flow year-round but are most impressive during and after the monsoon.
