Overview
Portstewart is a Victorian beach resort on County Londonderry'sCauseway Coast with a population of 8,003 (2011). The main attraction is Portstewart Strand, a two-mile sandy spit backed by sandhills and owned by the National Trust, free to access from dawn to dusk.

B&B doubles range from £80 at budget guesthouses to £140 at smarter hotels. Many more options available in nearby Portrush, 3 miles east.
Beach
Portstewart Strand is free to access from dawn to dusk, owned by National Trust. Parking must be pre-booked as of 2021. The Promenade beach is rocky except for one small corner.

Food
The Promenade is the main eating area with options from ice cream shops to seafood restaurants. Harry's Shack near the Strand car park is popular for seafood.
Transport
Bus 140 runs the triangle from Coleraine to Portstewart (15 min) to Portrush and back every 20 min M-F. Change at Portrush for buses to Giant's Causeway.
