Polo is a quiet mountain municipality of 7,100 people in the southwestern Dominican Republic. The town is best known for its strong, locally grown coffee and the mysterious El Polo Magnético (the magnetic pole), a gravity hill where vehicles appear to roll uphill when placed in neutral.
