Overview

Pinswang is a tranquil historic Alpine village of about 430 residents in Austria's Ausserfern region, sitting on the border with Germany's Allgäu. Its main appeal is as a hiking base: the famous Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles are just a 1-1.5 hour forest walk away, and the ancient Roman Via Claudia Augusta runs right through the village.
