Overview
Lindau is a picturesque island town on the southern edge of Lake Constance (Bodensee), straddling the German-Austrian border. The tiny car-free historic core packs medieval facades, half-timbered houses, and a photogenic harbor guarded by a Bavarian Lion statue and lighthouse into an area you can walk across in 15 minutes.
