Overview
Parnaíba is a riverside city in Piauí serving as the main gateway to the Parnaíba River Delta, one of the world's largest coastal river deltas. Most tourists pass through en route between Lençóis Maranhenses and Jericoacoara, but the city itself offers well-preserved colonial architecture in the northern center near Praça Nossa Senhora das Graças, nearby beaches like Pedra do Sal, and a relaxed atmosphere with evening strolls along Avenida São Sebastião.
