Overview
Oron is a mid-sized city of approximately 250,000 people lying on the Cross River with its own seaport and maritime academy. The city is best known for the Oron Museum, which houses some of the oldest and finest surviving wood carvings in Africa — the eight hundred ancestral Ekpu figures.
