Overview
Nea Anchialos is a small seashore town 18 km southeast of Volos in Thessaly, positioned halfway between Athens (305 km) and Thessaloniki (230 km). The town stretches along 20 km of coastline with beaches ranging from unique reddish sand—recommended for sand-baths to relieve rheumatism symptoms—to golden sand, cliffs, and pebbles.
