Food
Bring packaged food as options at the top are limited. Multiple eateries in Chikballapur along NH-7.
Safety
Sharp turns and steep sides without fences. Monkeys can enter cars. Return before sunset.
Transport
Only one road to the top with 40 curves; no afternoon buses from Bangalore. Direct KSRTC bus at 8:30AM from platform 13 at Bangalore Majestic.
Weather
Best before sunrise (arrive by 5:30AM). Rainy season is extremely wet. Entry limited to 6AM-6PM.
