Overview
Nagarhole (also spelled Nagarahole) is one of Karnataka's premier wildlife destinations, protecting over 640 km² of dry deciduous forest, teak plantations, and valleys along the Kabini River. The park is famous for its healthy tiger and elephant populations, with herds of 100+ elephants gathering at waterholes during summer months.

Safety
Stay inside vehicles at all times in the park. Carry water, snacks, torch, and whistle. Do not litter or bring inflammable items.
Transport
Mysore is the main hub with KSRTC buses to H.D. Kote (₹80-150). Taxis from H.D. Kote to the park gate cost around ₹500-800.
Weather
Summer (March-April) is hot (32°C) but best for wildlife viewing. Winter (Nov-Feb) is milder (12-25°C). Monsoon (July-Oct) makes roads impassable.
