Overview
Milies, Vizitza, and Pinakates are three traditional mountain villages on Mount Pelion at 400m elevation, 28 km from Volos. The villages feature traditional stone houses, cobbled roads, and family-owned restaurants with abundant accommodation.

Safety

Transport
Buses run from Volos KTEL terminal; summer wooden-wagon train departs twice daily on weekends from Ano Lechonia near Volos.

Tap water is drinkable throughout Milies, Vizitza, and Pinakates. Restaurants will serve glasses of ice water upon request.
Weather
Mountain location at 400m provides cooler temperatures than coastal areas. Forested slopes and streams create pleasant conditions for hiking in spring and autumn.
