Overview

Mamaia is Romania's most popular seaside resort, drawing crowds of Romanian beach lovers from early May through September. The resort sits on an 8-km long, 300-m wide sandy strip between Lake Siutghiol and the Black Sea, offering Europe's rare pure white sand typically found only in tropical destinations like Hawaii.

Weather

Best visited mid-May through late September when temperatures reach 25-30°C. Water stays warm well into autumn. Winter sees few visitors and minimal services.
