Options are limited—Mabinay Springs cottages from ₱1,000/night. Many visitors base themselves in Bais instead (50-100 min away).
Activities
Crystal Caves well-signed 10km south of town. Natural spring pool with ₱10 adult admission, ₱50/hour kayak hire. River levels too low for kayaking July-September.
Money
Local currency is Philippine Peso (PHP). ATMs limited in small Mabinay township; bring sufficient cash from Dumaguete or Bais.
Safety
Mountain road dangerous after dark due to unmarked hazards. Cave interiors have bat guano—watch your hands.
Transport
Reachable by bus from Dumaguete (2-3 hours) or Bacolod. Jeepneys also connect from Bais and Kabankalan. Avoid night driving on the mountain highway.
