Overview

Lumajang is a regency in East Java that serves as the primary gateway to Mount Semeru, Java's highest peak and the heart of Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. The area is famous for its pisang agung, an arm-sized banana variety processed into crispy kripik chips or steamed as a local snack.
