Overview
Los Quetzales National Park is a large, remote wilderness covering more than 5,000 hectares of mountainous cloud rainforest southeast of San Jose. The park draws naturalists and birdwatchers specifically to spot the reclusive resplendant quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno), a majestic bird with green and red plumage and remarkably long tail feathers.
