Overview
Lluc (Santuari de Lluc) is a pilgrimage monastery in the heart of Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca's mountain backbone. The 16th-century black Virgin icon La Moreneta draws devout visitors, while hikers use it as a base for the GR221 trail through the mountains.

Santuari Hotel is spartan but central. Three campsites within 3 km; Font Coberta is closest but bans fires in summer. Book the hotel ahead.

Four restaurants in the complex and immediate surroundings, mostly open limited hours. Stock up on supplies in Inca.

Euro (€) is used. ATMs are in Inca; bring cash for the monastery hotel and smaller restaurants.
Transport
TIB Bus 312 runs four times daily from Inca (30 min); Bus 231 follows the mountain ridge between Sóller, Lluc, and Pollença. Parking at Lluc costs €8/day.
