Overview
Little Cayman is the smallest and least developed of the three Cayman Islands, measuring just 10 miles long and 1 mile wide. With a population of fewer than 170 residents, it offers an exceptionally remote and unspoiled Caribbean experience.

Before you go
Connectivity
WiFi available only at select resorts like Conch Club Condos. Mobile coverage is limited. Do not rely on internet connectivity for work or emergencies.
Food
Only two restaurant options at resorts plus one grocery store with high prices. Bring provisions from Grand Cayman if planning extended stays.
Health
Medical services limited to a clinic with full-time nurse. Doctors visit weekly from Cayman Brac only. No hospital on island. Dive medical emergencies require evacuation.
Money
Little Cayman uses Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD) but USD is widely accepted. Credit cards accepted at resorts but not at Village Square Market. Bring sufficient cash for island expenses.
Packing
Bring diving certification if planning underwater activities. Pack reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, and any specialty items—shopping options are extremely limited.
Safety
Very low crime rate in small community. Standard ocean and diving safety precautions essential given remote location and limited emergency services.
Transport
Cayman Airways connects Little Cayman with Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. Inter-island flights are the primary connection method. Most boats dock on the south side.
