Overview
Lillafüred is a small resort town tucked into a forested valley where three streams converge, just 20 minutes from Miskolc. The star attraction is the Palace Hotel (Palotaszálló), a neo-Renaissance castle built between 1927-1930 on the banks of Lake Hámori.

Anna Cave closes in winter. István Cave charges 1000 Ft; cave air is used therapeutically for respiratory conditions. Szeleta Cave is free and open 24/7.

Ecotouristic Center Lillafüred (Erzsébet sétány 2, daily 09:30-17:30) provides hiking info, transport schedules, and sells Miskolc Pass tourist cards. Staff speak English, German, Russian, Slovakian.

Transport
Bus #5 and #15 run every 30 minutes between Miskolc and Lillafüred. The narrow-gauge railway costs 800 Ft flat fare (open carriages, Miskolc-Diósgyőr to Lillafüred/Garadna).
