Overview
Ligatne offers a quieter alternative to the busier Gauja National Park destinations of Sigulda and Cēsis. The town is known for its nature trails through "fairy tale" forests featuring characters from Latvian folklore, plus a surprising Soviet-era secret bunker uncovered only in 2005.
