Overview

Internet access is limited in the park area. Some campements like Campement Ocean & Savane offer WiFi in the evenings (19:00–24:00).
Language
French is the official language, though local languages include Wolof and Moors. Park écogardes speak very little English—bring a French dictionary.
Money
The CFA (West African franc) is the local currency. Cash is essential—ATMs are in Saint-Louis but limited near the park. Budget approximately CFA 2,000–5,000 per day for basic expenses.
Transport
Public transport from Saint-Louis involves flagging down shared bush taxis (CFA 500) or Ndiaga Ndiaye minibuses (CFA 300). Private taxis cost CFA 3,000–5,000. Arrange return transport before dark.
Weather
December–May is the dry, cool season ideal for visiting. June–September brings intense heat (up to 40°C) and daily rains. October–November transition period brings returning migratory birds.
