Overview
Lake Wales is a small city in eastern Polk County, Florida, sitting at the southern foot of Iron Mountain—the second-highest point on the Florida Peninsula at 295 ft (90 m). The city is home to famous Bok Tower Gardens and its Singing Tower, and lies near the center of Lake Wailes.

Weather
Summers are hot and humid (90-95°F) with frequent thunderstorms and lightning. Winters are mild (70s°F) with occasional cold snaps. Spring is the driest season.
