Mexican Pesos (M$) are the local currency. US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas but expect better rates with pesos. ATMs available throughout the city. Some budget accommodations like Pension California are cash only.
Transport
Autotransportes Aguila buses depart from the Malecon (Av. Alvaro Obregon 125). Beach buses cost M$100 round trip. Bike rentals US$2-5/hour are the best way to explore. Rental cars available for trips along the peninsula.
