Overview
Kythnos is one of the quieter Cyclades islands, offering over 60 beaches, historic churches and monasteries, traditional villages like Chora and Dryopida, and archaeological sites including Maroulas, the oldest settlement in the Cyclades at approximately 10,000 years old. The island is volcanic in origin, very dry, and thinly populated, providing a more authentic Greek island experience than its busier neighbors.
