Overview
Kuala Besut is a small town in Terengganu on Malaysia's east coast, serving primarily as the gateway to the Perhentian Islands. While many travelers pass through without stopping, the town itself has some charm with colorful murals painted on buildings, old-looking wooden structures, and an interesting Islamic cemetery visible on the walk between the bus station and jetty.
