Overview
Ko Jum (also called Ko Pu) is a small island between Ko Lanta and Krabi Town that has stayed largely off the mass tourism radar. With about 1,500 permanent residents and only around 20 simple resorts on the west side, the island offers a genuine Thai island experience without the crowds of nearby destinations.

Accommodation
About 20 simple resorts on the west side offer bungalows from 150-1,000 baht. Electricity may be limited in budget options. Most resorts cook for non-guests.
Connectivity
Limited connectivity due to recent electrification (2008). WiFi availability varies by resort. Check ahead if connectivity is needed.
Etiquette
Keep alcohol bottles out of view out of respect for local residents. The island maintains a quiet, family-oriented atmosphere.
Money
Cash is the primary payment method. No ATMs on the island. Bring sufficient cash from Krabi or Ko Lanta.
Safety
Roads are now sealed and easy to navigate. Don't miss the last local boat at 18:15 from Laem Kruat or face a 1,500 baht private boat hire.
Transport
Ferries from Ko Lanta and Krabi stop at Ko Jum during high season. Local boats from Laem Kruat (100 baht, 45 min) run year-round. No dock exists—longtail boats meet ferries offshore.
