Overview
Khok Kloi is a nondescript Thai town that straddles a major highway, but it draws tourists for its lovely beach located 4 km from the town centre. The town serves as a practical base for travelers heading to nearby Khao Lak beaches or those with early flights out of Phuket Airport.

Budget travelers should head to Nest Villa (500 baht) which is the only backpacker-style option. Upscale beach resorts are also available nearby.

Free WiFi is available at Bo's Cafe, a friendly coffee shop where the owner speaks excellent English.
Transport
Motorbike taxis with light blue vests are the only local transport. Find them at the bus station or hail them anywhere in town.
