Overview
Kerikeri is often described as the Cradle of the Nation as the site of the first permanent mission station in New Zealand, featuring some of the most historic buildings in the country. Located in the Winterless North of the North Island, this rapidly-expanding town sits at the western extremity of the Kerikeri Inlet where the Kerikeri River meets the salty Bay of Islands.
