Overview
Kazincbarcika is an industrial town created during Hungary's Socialist era, built to house workers for the Borsodi Vegyi Kombinát (now BorsodChem). While not a typical tourist destination, it serves as a practical base for exploring the Bükk Mountain region's scattered villages, each with their own historical churches, manor houses, and the world-famous Rudapithecus fossil site at Rudabánya.
