Overview
Kanab served as the back lot for classic westerns like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Planet of the Apes, and Stagecoach, hosting stars from Frank Sinatra to Clint Eastwood. Today it is best known as the home of Best Friends Animal Society, the nation's largest animal sanctuary with 1,500-2,000 animals at any given time.
