Safety
Quads are not designed for road use and cause accidents. Crash helmets are compulsory for scooters. Most roads are sealed but some rough tracks exist.

Herakleion Airport is 40 miles away with 45-60 minute taxi or car journey. Local KTEL buses connect to major towns. Taxis are good value Mercedes vehicles.
